Season 4’s Assault Rifle, the CR-56 AMAX (also known as the Galil), deals big damage over long range, but what’s the best kit to use it with?
Best CR-56 AMAX Loadout in Warzone
The CR-56 AMAX is a really solid Warzone weapon for those of you who want an Assault Rifle that keeps a high level of damage at range. You’ll want to kit it out in such a way that you avoid losing accuracy from further out, since this weapon can chunk away at foes health pretty handily. Here’s our favourite attachment combination:
- Muzzle – Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel – XRK Zodiac S440
- Ammunition – 45 Round Mags
- Underbarrel – Commando Foregrip
- Rear Grip – XRK CR-56 Stippled Wrap
This loadout is great because it combines faster handling with ranged accuracy. It’s not exactly laser-accurate, but it’ll handle easily enough if you get used to the kick.
There’s a different Ammunition attachment that makes the AMAX into something of a DMR, though. 10-round semi-automatic bullets make this weapon perform similarly to the likes of the FAL – although we much prefer this version.
Here’s how we set this gun up with the 10-round DMR Ammunition:
- Muzzle – Compensator
- Barrel – XRK Zodiac S440
- Laser – Tac Laser
- Stock – XRK Gatekeeper
- Ammunition – M67 10-R Mags
Of course, it’s completely up to you when it comes down to it. Many people would prefer to silence their weapon, so in that case switch out the Compensator for either the Monolithic or Tactical Suppressor, whilst others require a reflex sight, in which case getting rid of the Stock attachment could be worth doing. See what works best for you.
Here’s what we like to use with the CR-56 AMAX for the rest of the class:
- Secondary weapon – RPG-7
- Perk 1 – Cold Blooded
- Perk 2 – Ghost
- Perk 3 – Amped
- Lethal – C4
- Tactical – Heartbeat Sensor
At the moment, these are the most commonly-used setups. Of course, some would want to replace the RPG with an SMG for rushing buildings. In this case, you’d have to switch Ghost out for Overkill, but it’s often just as easy to pick up a Submachine Gun off the ground and keep Ghost available.
Make sure you use your C4 on enemy vehicles – it’s rather satisfying to take out a whole team by blowing up their ride as they try to run you down. Heartbeat Sensors aren’t necessarily as overpowered as they used to be, what with everyone running Ghost, but it’s still valuable, particularly in squad modes.
