New difficulty setting will now arrive next week.
Bungie has delayed the release of the Prestige Leviathan Raid until next week. It will now go live on October 18th, 2017 at 10AM PT (that’s 18:00PM BST) due to an exploitable bug that requires a fix before launch.
The Prestige version of the Leviathan Raid was due to release later on today at the same time. In testing, however, Bungie discovered a bug that causes the Raid to function incorrectly. News of the delay was broken via the official forums.
”An exploit has been discovered in the Leviathan Raid that causes the encounters to be stripped of their intended challenge,” the post begins. “To allow time to fix this issue, we are delaying the start of the Prestige Raid until next week. It’s important to us that the team who earns World First status doesn’t have their legacy tarnished by doubt, skepticism, or uncertainty.”
Bungie is taking the time to fix the Prestige Raid so that the Clan who manages to beat the encounter first does so without the achievement being potentially tarnished with doubt. Most importantly, the team wants the Prestige Raid difficulty setting to work as intended for everyone, so no-one’s sense of achievement is undermined.
For those unfamiliar with the Prestige Raid, it’s essentially a tougher version of the existing Leviathan Raid that requires a Power Level of 300 in order to gain access. Minor mechanical changes will be made to certain stages of the raid, and unique rewards will also be rewarded to those who manage to beat its challenges.
