Alliances are an extremely important mechanic in Dota Underlords.
By fielding numerous units belonging to the same Alliance, you’ll benefit from extremely powerful effects which can have a huge effect on each combat round.
Some of these stack to multiple levels, while in other cases a single unit of a given Alliance is all that’s required. You should take special note of those which penalise you for having more than one of a given Alliance on the board as well.
