ESL to host CS:GO Bucharest Invitational next month
A first for the ESL SEE league.
ESL has announced that it will play host to a four-team tournament in Bucharest next month, with €50,000 ($57,000) of prize money up for grabs.
For the first time ever, ESL SEE (Southeast Europe) will be holding a CS:GO invitational during Bucharest Gaming Week. It kicks off on 9th December, one day after the ESL SEE finals, and will feature teams from all over Europe squaring off to earn a portion of the huge prize pool.
Featuring a single elimination, best of three format, the open qualifiers will be held on the 10th November and 17th November. The top 3 finishers from each qualifier will advance to the online playoffs where they will be joined by two invitees from the SEE scene in a closed qualifier, scheduled for 26-28th November.
Here’s how the $57,000 prize pool will be split:
- 1.€25,000 (~$28,555)
- 2. – €12,500 (~$14,275)
- 3-4. – €6,250 (~$7,135)
