A cryptic walkthrough for completing the first wing of Icecrown Citadel.
If you’ve been struggling to make progress with the Frozen Throne mission content, then you might be interested in a post on the official Hearthstone blog which outlines a few tips and tricks for completing the early encounters using some pretty cheap decks.
As well as helping players tackle the AI encounters against Lord Marrowgar, Deathbringer Saurfang and Lady Deathwhisper, we also get a second look at Malto who made his debut in the first Hearthstone animated short. Here’s that very same Hearth and Home cinematic from Gamescom if you missed it the first time around:
For the first real encounter – Lord Marrowgar – Malto recommends making use of a control Priest list, while a weapon-heavy Warrior makes perfect sense for Deathbring Saurfang, who can only be damaged by blades. A second Priest deck is recommended for dealing with Lady Deathwhisper and her fiddly health-based mechanics.
While the guide is a little cryptic in its advice – and perhaps deliberately so in order to preserve some sense of challenge – it’s a great starting point for those who have yet to tackle the first of the three Icecrown Citadel wings.
