Fortnite Fall Skirmish announced by Epic Games
Epic ups the stakes with a $10,000,000 prize pool for six weeks of competitive play.
Following on from the recent success of the Summer Skirmish series, Epic Games has announced a new competitive tournament called the Fall Skirmish. The news was announced on the game’s official Twitter account a little earlier on today.
While the previous tournament put a generous $8,000,000 prize pot on the table, Epic is upping the stakes for the next Skirmish with a $10,000,000 prize pool. The money will be spread across six weeks of competitive play.
Although full details have yet to be confirmed, it’s likely that the Fall Skirmish series will follow the established format of the previous event, and feature a collection of well-known Fortnite players doing battle across a collection of game modes each week.
The weather may be cooling down, but the battle is heating up. Fall Skirmish starts soon, with $10,000,000 awarded across 6 weeks. Stay tuned for major details dropping later this week!

The first round of the Summer Skirmish series was dogged by issues surrounding lag and a lack of information about how to actually follow all of the action. Things quickly improved, however, and the series ended its run with an explosive $1.5million tournament at the end of PAX West 2018.
An official website has yet to be launched for the Fall Skirmish, and so we’re not yet sure of the date for the first round. Given the name of the series and the time of year though, it seems likely that the tournament will get under way in the next few weeks.
As soon as we have more details we’ll add a post to the homepage.
