Fortnite launches Patch V10.10, bringing back Retail Row and the Infinity Blade
Retails Row's back…but with a twist.
Fortnite Patch v10.10 launched today, and it expands on the variety of features brought about by Season 10’s Battle Pass and updates. It’s brought back areas from the past, introduced brand new Limited Time Modes and delivered plenty of other tweaks too.
In a move that’s sure to delight fans, Retail Row has returned thanks to a Rift Zone which has replaced Mega Mall. Hordes of Fiends are visiting the shopping park – hostile zombies all vying for Retail Row’s newfound discounts – and players can shoot them in exchange for loot drops.
There are two new Limited Time Modes too, one unvaults the Infinity Blade for added chaos in ‘Sword Fight’ and the other, ‘World Run’, sees squads race through “lava pits” and “treacherous traps” to be the first to collect 30 coins.
One gameplay change we’re keen on is the way chests and ammo crates now open when you destroy them. Gone are the days of accidentally breaking apart your loot options. In addition, the super-powerful B.R.U.T.E. is both weaker and less likely to spawn.
Finally, the B.R.U.T.E. is now ready to wreak havoc in Creative mode, and players can add extra islands to their creations as well. You can see the full patch notes here, and our guide to Season 10’s Battle Pass here.
