Fortnite patch v8.30 introduces the Reboot Van and Buccaneer’s Bounty event
Bring your mates back into the fray.
Fortnite’s latest patch has brought with it the Reboot Van that’s – let’s just say – “heavily inspired” by Apex Legends’ respawn feature. It’s also kicked off the Buccaneer’s Bounty event which introduces a fresh LTM every single day, as well as the usual host of bug fixes and quality of life changes players have come to expect.
It’s safe to say that the ability to bring a teammate back to life in Apex Legends is a popular feature, so it’s no surprise that Fortnite has adopted it too.
Across the map players will now find Reboot Vans, and when squad members are eliminated they will now drop Reboot Cards. Slot these cards into Reboot Vans and it’ll bring teammates back from the grave.

They’ll lose practically everything they earned previously, but will respawn with 100 health, 1 Common Pistol, 36 Light Ammo and 100 Wood to give them a fighting chance of clawing themselves back into the match.
Fortnite’s also hosting the brand new Buccaneer’s Bounty Event. From 10-15th of April a different Limited Time Mode will rotate in every day. There’s also an increased spawn rate for Treasure Maps for the duration of this event too, so that means better loot for everyone involved – nice.
As always, there’s the usual slew of bug fixes and stat adjustments too. For a complete overview of everything that’s been introduced with Fortnite patch v8.30, make sure you head on over to Epic’s official blog post.
