Fortnite Season 6 Patch Notes detail new Battle Pass, map, pets and Battle Stones
Find out what's new for Season 6 of Epic's blockbuster Battle Royale game.
The V6.00 Patch Notes heralding the release of Season 6 of Fortnite have been released. Details of the new Battle Pass, pet system, map changes and Shadow Stone consumable items are included.
Of immediate interest to all player will be the latest Battle Pass, which is available through the in-game shop and costs 950 V-Bucks.
For Season 6, the Pass provides 100 new levels to work through, with more than 100 new rewards to unlock as you make your way through the tiers. These rewards include cosmetic pets which follow you around the map, and there are of course new Weekly Challenges to help you level up a little faster too.
Before you play a single game or tick off a single task, however, you’ll instantly unlock two new outfits after purchasing the Season 6 Battle Pass: Calamity and DJ Yonder.
You might also notice that a few changes have been made to the map itself. The Halloween-themed update has added a certain spookiness to the environment, with floating islands and aesthetic tweaks galore.
Finally, there’s the new Shadow Stone consumable item. There are seven of these new items located all over the island, and once you’ve consumed one you’ll gain a state of near-invisibility for 45 seconds.
You can pass through walls while in this state, and obviously launch more ingenious attacks upon unwitting opponents while sneaking about.
