Halloween’s just been and gone, ushering in week 6 of Fortnite. Not only have balloons made their way into the game, but a whole new set of weekly challenges too. Tackle them and you’ll receive a handful of Battle Stars which’ll help you level up your Battle Pass a lot faster than usual.
For this week’s challenges you’ll be tasked with the usual stuff, like searching the map for chests, eliminating enemies with a specific weapon and dealing damage with them too. Although, there is one in challenge in particular which may cause some trouble.
Below we’ve outlined everything you need to know about this week’s challenges and how to complete them all.

FREE
- Place Chillers in different matches (0/3). 5 Battle Stars
- Search a Chest in different Named Locations (0/7). 5 Battle Stars
- Shotgun Eliminations – HARD (0/3). 10 Battle Stars
PREMIUM
- Land at Shifty Shafts (0/1). 5 Battle Stars
- Deal damage with a pickaxe to opponents (0/250). 5 Battle Points
- Find the Sheet Music in Pleasant Park (0/1) – HARD. 10 Battle Stars
- Elimination with a Common weapon – HARD (0/1). 10 Battle Stars
Those are all of the challenges available in Week 6 of Fortnite Season 6, then, but how do you complete them all? Good question, and in the rest of this article we’ll go through each task one by one.
Place Chillers in different matches
To complete this challenge all you need to do is go ahead and place 1 Chiller Trap in 3 different matches. It’s a case of getting lucky enough to find or loot one, but as soon as you’ve got one, make sure you slap it down as quickly as possible.
Search a chest in different Named Locations
For this one, you’ll need to search a total of 7 chests in different named locations. By this, it means locations around the map which are named, like Tilted Towers, Snobby Shores and the like. This means that the Viking Village doesn’t count for example.
Shotgun Eliminations
There’s nothing for it but to get aggressive once you’ve bagged a shotgun. Get up close and personal, focus on landing those shots and you’ll get this challenge done in no time. Just remember, don’t be afraid to get stuck into fights!
Land at Shifty Shafts
As the name suggests, you simply need to land at Shifty Shafts for this one. Just prepare for an absolute bloodbath once you’ve hit the ground as everyone else will be aiming to complete the same challenge.
Deal damage with a pickaxe to opponents
We’d recommend landing as close to an enemy as possible and rushing at them with your pickaxe raised as soon as they land. Just accept your fate is sealed if they manage to get hold of a gun, but focus all your attention on smacking them with your harvesting tool as soon as they stop for even a second.
It’ll take some time, but keep at it over the course of several matches and you’ll get there.

Elimination with a Common Weapon
As soon as you’ve got hold of a common weapon, it’s then a case of treating it as your primary. Your chances are significantly higher if you bag an assault rifle or shotgun as they’re easily some of the strongest weapons in the game.
