Our guide to all of this week's challenges in Fortnite
Our Fortnite Week 7 Challenges guide contains a list of all the challenges in Week 7 of Season 5, with tips, tricks and strategy advice for completing each one and earning your Battle Star rewards.
The end of Season 5 in Fortnite is not very far away at all, but there’s still a little way to go yet. Come this Thursday we’ll be able to get stuck into Week 7’s new set of challenges, and it as though there’ll be the usual mix of elimination tasks and treasure hunts to tuck into.
For those of you playing the game without a Battle Pass, you’ll have to visit the centre point of map zones, rummage through Supply Drops and kill players using SMGs. Premium players will have those tasks too, as well as a handful of others such as destroying player structures with explosives, and killing opponents in a specific location.
To help you get up to speed on all the new stuff coming to the game this week, we’ve compiled all of Week 7’s challenges into one place, and also added a few handy tips to help you tick the lot off the list.
It’s possible some of these challenges will change between now and release, but we’ll make any updates that are necessary as soon as the patch goes live on Thursday.

Those are all of the challenges available in Week 7 of Fortnite Season 5, then, but how do you complete them all? Good question, and in the rest of this article we’ll go through each task one by one.
Visit the center of Named Locations in a Single Match
To complete this challenge you simply need to head to the very centre of the named zones that appear on the map. You’ll have to visit four different locations during a single round to actually complete this one.
Just make sure that any time you visit a town you take the time to go to the very middle of it, and keep an eye on the Challenge section of the UI to make sure you’ve made progress.
Search Supply Drops
You’ll need to loot a total of three Supply Drops to finish this challenge. The best way of finishing this one will be to simply play the game as usual, but perhaps be a little more daring when it comes to investigating an incoming drop.
There’ll obviously be a lot more competition for these items while the challenge is live, but you do have several weeks until the predicted end of Season 5 to complete it.
Completing this task will require you to kill a total of three other players using an SMG weapon.
Just keep this in the back of your mind for when you next loot such a weapon, and remember also that you don’t need to use just this weapon for the entire encounter. Switch to it for the killing blow if you like.
Deal damage to opponents structures with Remote Explosives
The first of the Premium Battle Pass challenges requires you to dish out a total of 5,000 damage against enemy structures using Remote Explosives.
It’s pretty self-explanatory, but just keep this one in the back of your mind if you happen to bag the explosives at any point during a game in the next few weeks.
Search Chests in Lucky Landing
Head to Lucky Landing and have a good old rummage through seven chests to complete this challenge.
If you’re attempting it on patch day, just be prepared for a big fight as there’ll be plenty of other players making a beeline for the same destination, and for the same reason. Maybe come back in a few days after the initial scramble has ended.
Follow the treasure map found in Dusty Divot
Follow the clues from the Dusty Divot treasure map and you’ll be able to find the spot on the map where the Battle Stars are located.
If you’re struggling to finish this one, our Dusty Divot Treasure Map guide is live on geeksplatform now.
Eliminate opponents in Lazy Links
Another pretty self-explanatory challenge. All you have to do is kill a total of three players while in the Lazy Links zone.
A lot of players will be here at patch launch which will make it easier to complete – in some ways. Alternatively, just make a point of checking back at this location over the rest of Season 5 until you’ve got this one all wrapped up.
