Fortnite’s latest patch adds Avengers Endgame Limited Time Mode
A hulking great update.
Fortnite’s latest patch brings with it the much-anticipated Avengers Endgame LTM, along with the usual host of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.
Epic Games has stepped up the Avengers crossover event this year, as players will take sides and fight for control over six Infinity Stones.
On one side there’s the Hero team, and on the other, Team Thanos which is comprised of Chitauri Invaders and Thanos himself.
The Hero team’s goal is to track down special Avengers weapons and overwhelm Thanos’ army, while Team Thanos will need to track down all the Infinity Stones and eliminate the remaining heroes.
Do you have whatever it takes?Find Thor’s Hammer, Hawkeye’s Bow, Captain America’s Shield or Iron Man’s Repulsors to defeat Thanos and the Chitauri in the Endgame LTM. #FortniteXAvengersCheck out what’s new in our patch notes: https://t.co/PDOP4pZn3j pic.twitter.com/OWTbCU0wGG

Each time an Infinity Stone is claimed, Thanos’ abilities grow more powerful and his army gains more health. The Heroes start with a treasure map which leads directly to a Mythic Avengers item, so they’ve got a way to power up and fight back too.
If Thanos is eliminated, another Chitauri will take his place after a short wait. If Team Thanos manages to claim all the Infinity Stones, the Hero team will stop respawning. It’s essentially a race to find these all-powerful items before the other team does.
Elsewhere, there are many quality of life improvements, a Fortnite Competitive update and bug fixes galore. For more on the Avengers LTM, as well as everything else, make sure you head on over to Fortnite’s official patch notes page.
