Medicine in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will help clear up any Wasp stings and restore your appearance. In this guide we’ll explain where to get the recipe and how to craft it.
If you’re a diligent tree-shaker, you’ve almost certainly felt the horrible sting of wasp. It’ll make your face swell up and it’s not the best look.
Right at the start of the game there’s no real way to heal your wounds other than to visit Timmy/Tommy and buy Medicine. A little later down the line, though, you’ll be able to craft your own Medicine which comes in pretty handy indeed.
Here’s how to go about it.
How to make Medicine in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Here’s how to rid yourself of those pesky wasp stings.
Why do you need Medicine?
When shaking trees for tree branches, fruit, or even decorative items like furniture, sometimes you’ll be in for a nasty surprise. Wasp’s nests can drop to the ground, and a whole swarm of the horrible things will chase after you. If you happen to get stung, your face will swell up – which isn’t ideal.
How do you get Medicine?
If you’ve not unlocked the recipe, or just for convenience’s sake, you can purchase Medicine from Timmy/Tommy for 400 Bells.
To get the recipe, you’ll need to get stung first! Shake a bunch of trees, wait for that wasp’s nest to drop down, and embrace the agony.
Once you’ve been stung and your face has swollen up, talk to your villagers. One of them will remark on your condition and give you the Medicine recipe.
Head into your pockets, and select it with [A] to learn it. Next, you’ll need collect the ingredients:
- 1 x Wasp Nest
- 3 x Clumps of Weeds
Now head to a workbench and you’ll be able to craft yourself some Medicine.
Can bees sting you?
From our experience, bees aren’t anywhere near as aggressive as their bulkier brethren, meaning they won’t sting you if you’re pottering around nearby.

Are there any other dangerous creatures?
Absolutely, there are a number of dangerous creatures which you can encounter roaming about your island – especially at night. One of these is the tarantula, which’ll rear up on its hind legs if it spots you, and if you draw too close it’ll race towards you. If it successfully lands a bite, you’ll be knocked unconscious and returned home, although you won’t lose anything for it.
