Valor-ant you excited?
Some of the biggest stars in esports are battling it out in the PAX Arena Valorant Invitational, including the likes of Ninja, Mang0, and sinatraa. It’s going to be pretty heated.
PAX Arena Valorant Invitational – the story so far
The group stage is well underway for the PAX Arena Valorant Invitational, having begun on Wednesday 22nd July. Some of the biggest personalities in esports have come together for a huge tournament with a $25,000 prize pool. We’ve already seen plenty of exciting matches, and it’ll only get bigger and better as the tournament goes on.
We have two more days of group stage action, before the knockout phase gets underway this weekend – this is where the competition will really spice up.
Sponsored by Seagate Gaming, the Valorant Invitational features giant esports orgs including TSM, T1, and Cloud9, fighting it out in Riot’s new hero-based tactical shooter. If you’re familiar with CS:GO tournaments you’ll feel right at home with Valorant, but fans of other shooters like Overwatch or Apex Legends may find interest in the unique character abilities, as well as the ridiculous level of skill at play.
Valorant’s an exciting watch as you’ll often witness players take matters into their own hands, go on an absolute tear, and clutch out rounds. If there’s a player who has caught your eye you’ll be able to watch the action from their point of view, as each team will be streaming their games on their own Twitch channels. You can find a list of all the teams over at thespike.
You can check out the current standings and fixtures in the smash.gg bracket.
