PUBG’s latest update rebalances Vikendi and adds a host of improvements
PUBG’s latest patch has completely rebalanced Vikendi, introduced Tactical Map Markers, crosshair improvements for throwables, minimap tweaks and many, many more changes besides.
First and foremost, Vikendi has been reworked into a “more balanced sniper haven” and now includes more “long gun” weapon drops including the “MK47 Mutant for that extra burst of firepower”.
It’s also offering more counterplay to snipers too, with better cover options scattered across the map including extra 4-wheel drive vehicles which will provide ample cover over snowbikes.

There are now six different map marker types for different situations: Attack, Danger, Defend, Loot, Regroup and Vehicle. To use them, you’ll need to hold right click on the map and it’ll bring up a radial menu. Simply place your mouse over your chosen icon and release, pretty neat.
Elsewhere there’s a new crosshair when using throwables which will make it easier to identify the use of overarm or underarm throwing stances. Minimap improvements mean that you’ll be able to more easily identify the direction and status of your teammates, not to mention there are parachuting and Flare Gun UI changes too.
