The world’s top PUBG players will gather in Seoul, Korea to battle for the PUBG Nations Cup and a slice of its $500,000 prize pool. It begins on 9th August and will run for three days, culminating with the grand final on 11th August.
The PUBG Nations Cup will feature players from every PUBG competitive region, which means a total of 16 national teams will battle for the world crown. Throughout the event, five squads matches will be played across Erangel and Miramar each day, with the eventual champions chosen based on highest point total.
Points are awarded for Chicken Dinners, kills and final rankings, so teams who want to place highly won’t get away with pitching tents and camping matches out.
Fans can tune in from 5:00PM KST/4:00AM EDT on August 9th and it’ll all be broadcast over on PUBG’s official Twitch and YouTube channels. For those in other regions, there are plenty of other options in a variety of languages.
South Korean team “Gen.G Gold” and Chinese squad “Oh My God” won the third person and first person perspective titles respectively at the inaugural PUBG Global Invitational last year. Judging by their dominant performances, these two nations will be clear favourites going into the Nations Cup.
