Realm Royale: Hunter guide – Tips, Best Abilities, Builds and Legendary Weapon

0

Our Realm Royale Hunter guide contains tips, tricks and strategy advice for the Legendary Weapon, Dodge Roll, Blast Shot, Flare, Proximity Mine and Withdraw abilities.

The Hunter is Realm Royale’s long-range specialist, with abilities that focus predominantly on disrupting enemies and repositioning in order to regain the advantage. It’s the beautiful marriage between Dodge Roll and Withdraw that makes for the really impressive degree of mobility here, allowing you to often outclass even the Assassin in this respect.

In this article we’ve put together a guide that’ll give you a complete overview of the Hunter class’s abilities, along with some tips on how to make the best use of each one. We’ll be updating this guide over time as the game continues to be patched, so make sure you keep this page bookmarked for all the latest updates.

There’s another 4 classes available to play in Realm Royale, and we’ve got guides to playing them all! Just click one on the links below to jump straight to them:

Hunter Abilities

Passive Ability

The Hunter’s passive ability grants a 10% buff to Swap Speed and Reload Speed.

With this buff you’ll be better equipped to swap weapons in the fly during a gunfight, and having extra sleight of hand when it comes to reloading will give you a nice edge over your opponents too.

Hunter Ability #1: Dodge Roll

This ability allows you to quickly roll in the direction you’re moving in, and it’s ease of use in all manner of situations makes it one of the best abilities in the game (in our opinion, of course).

It’s so simple and yet it can be used in so many situations. You can chase enemies down, retreat, dodge and simply use it to traverse the environment a little more quickly than usual.

Upgrades

Cooldown – 5 / 4 / 3 / 2 seconds

Hunter Ability #2: Blast Shot

Use Blast Shot and you’ll fire an explosive projectile that’ll deal some serious burst damage to an enemy. It’s nice and simple – use it to increase your damage output in an instant, either to dent an enemy’s health bar straight away or finish an opponent off.

Upgrades

Cooldown – 12 / 10 / 8 / 6 seconds

Damage – 315 / ? / ? / 750 damage

Hunter Ability #3: Flare

Fire a Flare into an area and it’ll reveal enemies within its radius of effect. This is especially useful for getting the drop on opponents who are hiding out in buildings, or when you want to clear out an area without running the risk of being backstabbed by a particularly stealthy player.

Upgrades

Cooldown – 14 / 12 / 10 / 8 seconds

Radius – 120 / 150 / 180 / 210

Hunter Ability #4: Proximity Mine

This is a mine that explodes whenever enemies are near, but be aware that it has fallout damage, dealing less at the edge of the explosion. This isn’t the strongest ability in the game, but throw it down just outside doorways or in an area you’re fighting in already and it can certainly catch an enemy off guard.

Upgrades

Cooldown – 20 / 16 / 12 / 8 seconds

Damage – 750 / 900 / 1,050 / 1,200 damage

Hunter Ability #5: Withdraw

This ability makes you leap backwards and enter stealth briefly, which makes it a brilliant method for escaping in a pinch. What’s more, you’ll find it’s most effective when you’re fighting within a cluster of buildings, as going into Stealth mode allows you to slink away into an unknown location.

Upgrades

Cooldown – 14 / 12 / 10 / 8 seconds

Duration – 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 damage

Hunter Legendary Weapon – Longbow

The Hunter’s Legendary Weapon is the Longbow and not only is it incredibly powerful, it’s also extremely versatile.

It’s all thanks to the fact that you can choose whether to charge up each shot or fire quickly. Tap the trigger to deal 200 damage rapidly, or draw the bow back fully, release it, and then watch as it deals 1000 to targets out in the distance.

This versatility makes it a decent weapon at both close and long range, although you’ll want to be taking on targets from a distance primarily, as this is where the strength of your abilities tends to lie too.

Hunter Tips

Here’s a handful of tips that’ll help you get up and running with the Hunter. We’ll be throwing in some additional tips as the game continues to evolve and we get some more time with the game ourselves.

  • Withdraw is a great way of repositioning if you’re in a tight spot. Couple it with Dodge Roll and you can put some serious distance between you and an enemy.
  • Leave your mines by doorways and hotspots like the Forge to catch enemies off guard.
  • The Flare is a brilliant tool for making sure that buildings are safe to enter, as it’ll reveal any hidden enemies camping away.
  • As a Hunter you absolutely must get hold of the Longbow as quickly as possible, as it’s the best all-round weapon in the game. Pair it with the Shotgun for even more effectiveness. Imagine landing a bow shot, Dodge Rolling towards your opponent and then finishing them off with a Shotgun blast – perfection.
  • If you’re being aggressed by a Warrior or Assassin, use your abilities to get away from them as they’ll generally have the advantage in close-quarters combat. Use your Dodge Roll and Withdraw to reposition, and don’t be afraid to rattle off shots while you’re evading too.
