The first details of Overwatch's competitive play rewards revealed.
A few new details have emerged of how exactly Overwatch’s Competitive Mode will work, along with a look at the rewards you’ll receive for participating in the first Season.
Here are all of the details that have been uncovered so far:
- You will not be able to participate in Competitive Mode until you have reached a Career Profile level of 25.
- In addition to this level requirement, you must be within 50 Skill Rating points of any friends you want to party up with.
- The Season will conclude on August 18th, although we’re still waiting for confirmation – beyond end-June – of when it will actually begin.
- Like in Heroes of the Storm, you will need to take part in a series of placement matches before being given your initial ranking. There’ll be ten of these initial battles for each player.
The reward for completing the placement matches is the Ilios Spray. If the thought of adding just another tag to your collection doesn’t intrigue you, you might like to know that this particular Spray is the game’s first animated tag.
