The underdogs finally bite back with a 3-1 win against Boston Uprising.
The Shanghai Dragons have finally claimed their first win in the Overwatch League with a 3-1 result against Boston Uprising. This mark’s the team’s first victory since joining the League in its inaugural 2018 season.
The Dragons got Saturday’s match-up off to a roaring start with a 2-0 win on Ilios, before securing a pair of much tighter wins on King’s Row (4-3) and everyone’s favourite Overwatch map, Horizon Lunar Colony (5-4).
Here’s the exact moment the team secured their first win, as published on the official Overwatch League Twitter account over the weekend.

Here’s a longer video of the match highlights that was published on the team’s official YouTube channel over the weekend. As you can see from the final moments, it was an understandably emotional moment for the beleaguered team as they claimed their first victory:
Elsewhere in the League this weekend, newcomers Guangzhou Charge continued their strong start by giving Dallas Fuel a 4-0 thumping.
It was a different story, however, for their fellow new team compatriots in the Chengdu Hunters, who suffered a 4-0 defeat to the old hands in Seoul Dynasty. They nevertheless bounced back to secure a 3-2 win against Florida Mayhem later on in the weekend.
Last year’s champions London Spitfire also rediscovered their form to claim a 3-1 win over Hangzhou Spark, and begin their push back up from the bottom of the table.
