A new season of competitive play adds a sparkly new card back.
Season 39 of Hearthstone is now under way, and it’s official known as The Magic of Dalaran. The title was confirmed in a recent post on the official Hearthstone site.
“The floating city of Dalaran is a special place,” the announcement begins.
“It is the mystic stronghold of the society of mages known as the Kirin Tor and oft-used mobile base of operations for adventurers. As a consequence, this lofty metropolis has served as a shining beacon of hope in the skies during some of Azeroth’s darkest events.
“Now you can add the flavor of this extraordinary city to your Hearthstone collection: introducing the Magic of Dalaran card back!”
There’s also a special new card back for you to unlock for participating in Season 39. To get it, you’ll simply need to reach Rank 20 in Standard or Wild Ranked Play. You’ll actually receive it in the rewards chest that’s granted to you at the end of June.
