What’s the theme of Tavern Brawl this week?
This week’s Tavern Brawl is named Too Many Portals! For once, every Hero gets to play with one of the Mage’s most moaned about cards, Unstable Portal. Expect your deck to be stuffed with these summoning portals and a handful of spells.
Here’s how the flavour text reads for this week’s event:
“The master mages of Dalaran have gone too far this time, opening up hundreds of portals! Choose a class and use a few spells and a WHOLE lot of portals to defeat your rivals!”
The rewards for completing Too Many Portals
If you manage to win a game during the Too Many Portals event, you’ll receive a single Classic card pack as a reward. You can only receive this reward once, but you can keep winning games to contribute towards your three-win bonus Gold and your Daily Quests. It’s a refreshingly different way to finish off the kind of quest that has you winning a certain number of matches, for example.

Too May Portals! deck tips and tricks
You’re automatically provided with a deck to play with this week, so you don’t have to worry about putting together an insanely overpowered strategy in order to get your free card pack. We’ve won with most of the Heroes already this week, so pick the class you feel most comfortable with and get ready to do battle.
Here are some tips you might find useful if you’re looking to get your reward nice and quickly.
– The faster you can burn through your Unstable Portals, the faster you’ll receive more meaningful creatures to put out on the board. The effect is random as well, so you’ll want all the options you can get.
– Don’t give up! Those portals are capable of providing some incredible swings on the board – we’ve made some incredible comeback this week, and the victory’s were all the sweeter for it.
– This week’s Tavern Brawl is all about getting maximum value out your minions. Always reduce the opponent’s fighting forces as much as possible each turn, while leaving yourself with plenty to play with. You never know what’s coming out on their next turn, so it’s vital you have active minions on the board.
