Vitality unveils CS:GO squad featuring three former Major winners
New line-up reunites some of the biggest names in the French scene.
Vitality have announced their first step into the CS:GO scene, with a French “super team” line-up featuring three former Major champions.
The roster consists of Team Envy’s former core lineup, with Dan “apEX” Madesclaire and Nathan “NBK” Schmitt shifting over from their contract with G2. Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer also joins the squad, alongside “Cédric “RpK” Guipouy and “Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut.
We are not perfect, not everything will be perfect. But we won’t give up, we won’t doubt, we are ready to handle our responsibilities. Together, everything is possible #VforVictoryWelcome Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pic.twitter.com/UMKxvITB6J

NBK, apEX, and Happy were once part of the extremely successful 2015 Envy roster which won the Dreamhack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015 trophy. While it’s been a while since they’ve all played together, there is definitely chemistry between the players which is capable of producing some great results.
Former CS:S legend RpK joined Team Envy in 2017 and played alongside Happy, winning the Dreamhack Open Atlanta 2017 title before a string of lackluster results resulted in a whirlwind of roster changes. This led to the eventual collapse of Envy as a team and their exit from CS:GO as an organisation.
ZywOo’s the youngest of the team at only 17 years of age, but showed great promise in former team aAa before shifting over to Vitality. Judging by the wealth of experience and talent in the squad, ZywOo’s in a great position to learn and evolve as a player.
The new Vitality squad will be competing in the knockout stages of the GG.BET Shuffle IEM Chicago Qualifier which represents their first test as a team and it’ll be very interesting to see how they get on.
