What game modes does Call of Duty: Mobile have?

0

All the modes are free-to-play too.

Call of Duty: Mobile brings back a bunch of game modes from the rest of the series. Here’s the lowdown on all of them.

In true Call of Duty fashion, COD: Mobile isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to content. Somehow, it’s squeezing in an array of stuff from previous games in the series, from maps to equipment and weapons. All of this is pointless without a variety of game modes to enjoy though, and luckily Call of Duty: Mobile has brought a solid amount from the series’ past.

What game modes can I play on Call of Duty: Mobile?

There’s going to be at least six ways to play Call of Duty: Mobile, and there’s always the chance for the devs to add more after release!

Team Deathmatch

This one is no surprise – Team Deathmatch has been in pretty much every shooter ever. The same as Deathmatch but with teams of 5, your job is to help your team get to the score limit before the enemy by killing them more than they kill you. Quick respawns, fast-paced gameplay and probably the first mode most people will try out, it’s simple as can be.

Frontline

Frontline debuted in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Similar to Team Deathmatch in its objectives and scoring system, the only real change in store is that teams have specific spawn points, and everyone on the team spawns there. Players at their own base get a small armour bonus to avoid getting spawn trapped too badly, but playing carelessly runs that risk in this game mode. It’s a little extra spice that’s been added to Team Deathmatch.

Domination

A fan favourite for many, Domination requires teams to take control of three capture points, with their score rising periodically the longer each point can be held. This mode forces players to utilise the whole map and grab each and every capture point, as the more areas you can keep the enemy out of, the more points you receive.

Search and Destroy

Players of CS:GO will be into Search and Destroy. No respawns mean this is a more hardcore game mode, in which one team protects an objective while the other team attempts to plant a bomb and destroy it. A tougher one to get to grips with, Search and Destroy is best played alongside a squad with communication.

Gun Game

Fans of the Black Ops series will be familiar with this mode. Eith each kill you get, your gun changes. Get 20 kills – one with each weapon – to win the game, finishing with you having to get up close and personal with the knife. An intense mode, you’ll be trying to get off the mark as quickly as possible to avoid getting stuck on a weak weapon – just remember it takes a couple seconds to change your gun after getting a kill so find cover while doing so.

Sniper Only

This limited-time mode requires you to have pinpoint accuracy, with every player forced to use either an Arctic .50 or a DL Q33. Quick reactions are key, as you’ll be getting one-shot most of the time. It’s a standard Frontline game, just with the restriction of only using sniper rifles, so if you’ve got your eye in for the day it’s well worth giving this mode a go.

Battle Royale

Call of Duty is dipping into the Battle Royale market once again. Blackout is clearly the main inspiration for Call of Duty: Mobile’s Battle Royale, but there’s a whole bunch of new and exciting additions. We’ve got more information on everything from the Battle Royale map, the vehicles, and more on our COD: Mobile Battle Royale page.

Zombies

COD: Mobile’s Zombies mode will include linear missions, rather than the survival structure many people associate with the mode. Here’s our Zombies page with all the latest updates!

How do I access Call of Duty: Mobile’s Ranked Mode?

When you first start up Call of Duty: Mobile, you’ll have to stick to casual mode to begin with. After you’ve got to level 7, Battle Royale unlocks, and at level 10, you can access ranked battles.

We’ve got a whole lot of other Call of Duty: Mobile help for you too, so if you’re looking for information on the maps and weapons the game has to offer, or advice on how to register to get started on COD: Mobile, we’ve got you covered.
