PUBG Patch 27 adds MP5K weapon, new Survivor Pass and more
PUBG’s latest update has arrived on PC test servers and with it comes a brand new MP5K submachine gun, a new Survivor Pass and multiple balancing tweaks.
The MP5K is a brand new submachine gun which uses 9mm ammunition and it’s exclusive to Vikendi, replacing the Vector on that map. It’s similar in overall fire rate and DPS to the Vector, but has a higher magazine capacity which should make it a little more forgiving in extended fights.
Next up, there’s a new Survivor Pass entitled “Wild Card”. It’s PUBG’s third iteration of their Battle Pass-esque offering, with 60 cosmetic rewards up for grabs over the course of 10 weeks. It features improvements to the missions which should make them more exciting and challenging, rather than simply tasking players with the likes of, “Shoot 10 baddies on Vikendi”.
PC Players: Update #27 now on the Test Server- More loot on Erangel- Flare Gun changes- Weapon balance changes- Buff to the M16A4- New Weapon MP5K- The new Survivor Pass 3: Wild Card- Reduced aim punch when shot by enemies and more! Patch notes:https://t.co/k7S2jV33JC pic.twitter.com/kze10WsKmS

The Survival Title system has also seen some changes, meaning that every promotion to a new title will grant coupons which players can then spend at the in-game store.
In terms of tweaks to gameplay, by far one of the biggest changes is the way loot works on Erangel. The overall item spawn rates have been increased, and players will stumble across better weapons, more often, which should make for a more engaging time overall.
Finally, it’s worth highlighting Patch 27’s drastic overhaul of the UI. The PC settings menu is getting a lovely redesign featuring explanations, preview images and more to make it much easier to navigate.
Patch 27 is absolutely enormous, so make sure you head on over to the official patch notes page for a complete overview of everything that’s arriving on the test servers.
