After seven years, f0rest leaves Ninjas in Pyjamas’ CS:GO lineup
The last of the legendary lineup to make the move.
After seven years, Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg is leaving Ninjas in Pyjamas’ CS:GO team.
This doesn’t mean he’s retiring yet, far from it. F0rest is joining Dignitas with his former teammates, GeT_RiGhT, Xizt, and Friberg, alongside newcomer Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli.

F0rest is easily one of the greatest CS:GO players of all time, having been part of the legendary NiP roster which went on a record-setting 87-0 win streak in LAN tournament map wins from September 2012 to April 2013. They also won the ESL One Cologne Major in August 2014 among many other tournaments in the early stages of the competitive scene.
Despite a natural dip in tournament victories over the last few years, f0rest’s level has always remained very high, and he definitely still has the individual skill to carry a team.
In joining his former NiP teammates, questions remain, though. Will signing to a new squad actually make a difference? As time went by, it felt like NiP’s wonder squad had lost its touch, having produced lackluster results for a number of years, and not even qualifying for some majors. Even under a new banner, it’s difficult to tell if a change in setup will be able to spark a total transformation.
In NiP’s official statement, it announces Tim “nawwk” Jonasson as f0rest’s replacement and provides a look at its new lineup:
- Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson
- Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez
- Simon “twist” Eliasson
- Fredrik “REZ” Sterner
- Tim “nawwk” Jonasson
- Björn “THREAT” Pers (Head Coach)
