PUBG announces the FACEIT Global Summit, its first ever Major tournament
PUBG’s push into esports has reached an exciting milestone with its announcement of the FACEIT Global Summit.
It’s the game’s first equivalent of a Major tournament, with a prize pool of $400,000 up for grabs, 24 top teams from all over the world competing and the Grand Finals being played in front of a live audience in the Excel Centre, London.
The PUBG FACEIT Global Summit will take place between April 16-21st and tickets are now available for purchase over on its official website.

Between 16-18th of April, 24 teams will be split into three groups of eight. They’ll then compete over three days, with a whopping six matches per day. Once play has concluded, all the points will be tallied up and the top eight teams will qualify for the finals stage.
The bottom 16 teams from the Group Stage will compete over a single day, on April 19th. Placement will be decided on point value over a total of six matches, with points being carried over from the group stage.
It’ll all culminate in the Grand Finals stage which takes place between April 20-21st. This is where the top eight teams from the Group Stage combine with the top eight teams from the Elimination Stage.
Placement will be decided on total points over 12 matches, with six maps on Day One and six maps on Day Two. The team that comes out on top walks away with a cool $400,000 cash prize.
