Freelance guides and news opportunities now available.
Hello folks
I’m excited to announce that we’re looking for some help expanding geeksplatform’s coverage into a handful of established games. These are all paid opportunities.
Specifically, we’re looking for freelancers who know League of Legends, Dota 2 or CS:GO to an expert level, and can produce high quality guides and/or news in order to support our expansion into these games.
Please read the following descriptions carefully before applying:
Guides
Games: CS GO / Dota 2 / LoL
We are looking for experienced guides writers to produce a series of guides for each of these games. We are commissioning around 20 guides for each title, and a clear brief will be provided for each assignment.
To be considered for these positions you must be:
- – An expert in your chosen title with an extremely broad knowledge of all aspects of it.
- – Capable of communicating your expertise and authority in a manner that’s accessible to players of all levels of experience.
- – Able to demonstrate experience of producing explainers, guides and how-to articles for your chosen title.
These are one-off assignments that would suit writers with a track record in producing high-quality gameplay guides for established outlets or community sites.
News
Games: CS GO / Dota 2 / LoL
We are also looking for news writers who can reliably produce two relevant, esports-focused news stories per week in a timely fashion and on an ongoing basis.
To be considered for these positions you must be:
- – Deeply embedded in the professional competitive scene of your chosen game.
- – An expert in your chosen game with experience of high-level play.
- – Capable of writing news content to AP style and standards.
- – Able to go beyond reporting and provide additional meta insight within the context of the news.
This is an ongoing assignment that would suit an entry-level writer looking to develop their profile on an established site and get paid for their work.
