The Dennis Hawelka Award will be presented at the conclusion of each Overwatch League season, and will be awarded to the player deemed by Blizzard to have had the greatest positive impact on the Overwatch community.
The inaugural Overwatch League season will commence at the start of January 2018, and will see 12 teams compete across a six month season. The League itself will be preceded with a series of exhibition matches scheduled to take place at the start of December.
