The StarLadder Berlin Major will be the second Major tournament of the year, and it’ll see a number of the best teams in the world duke it out for the whopping $1 million prize pool.

What’s the Prize Pool?

A total of $1 million is on the line, with half of that going to the team which wins out overall.

Who’s there?

The biggest teams in the world will attend and fight for that $500,000 grand prize.

Team Liquid are the ones to beat, with something of a stranglehold on S-Tier competitions for the last few months. FaZe Clan make an appearance, sporting big names like olofmeister and GuardiaN, while Natus Vincere of Ukraine look to pull through having taken victory in the last StarLadder-run event.

How’s it work?

The top 8 Challenger teams advance for the opportunity to fight it out against the Legend teams. The first two stages use a Swiss bracket format, with best of 3 matches for advancement and eliminations.

The top 8 from the Legend Stage advance to the Champion Stage, which uses a single elimination bracket type, a traditional knockout format. Quarter, Semi and Grand Finals are all best of 3.

The English language broadcast can be found on StarLadder’s Twitch channel which we’ve embedded down below. StarLadder also offers another channel which streams the action for the Russian speakers out there. We’ll update you when the casting team is confirmed.
