Philadelphia Flyers owner stakes its claim in Blizzard's shooter.
Another team has been announced for next year’s inaugural Overwatch League season, and today it’s the turn of Philadelphia Fusion to make themselves known to the community.
Fusion is owned by Comcast Spectacor, who also own professional ice hockey team the Philadelphia Flyers. Orange and black are the colours of choice for the new esports team, reflecting the colours of their puck-whacking cousins.

Comcast Spectacor’s President and CEO Dave Scott had this to say in a press release issued by the company:
“We are thrilled to introduce the Philadelphia Fusion brand and team colors as we continue our exciting march toward the start of the season,” he begins.
“Orange and black are colors of passion here in Philadelphia, and we are proud to incorporate them as we continue to formulate our coaching staff and roster of players.”
As Scott’s statement suggests, there are no team roster or management details available to the public just yet. As soon as we have those details we’ll update the site.
Overwatch League is Blizzard’s big push into esports for its phenomenally successful team shooter. Twelve teams will participate in the opening season of the League which begins on 10th January 2018. Before that, a series of exhibition matches will be held between the teams at the start of December.
