PUBG Mobile: Royale Pass guide – Season 5, Rewards, Missions and Ranks

0

Our PUBG Mobile Royale Pass guide contains everything you need to know about the latest Season updates, as well as the Free and Elite versions of the Royale Pass including Cost, Royale Points, Rewards, Missions and Ranks.

While PUBG Mobile is – at its core – very much the traditional PUBG experience you know and love on PC, it’s also home to a number of exclusive features that simply aren’t present on its elder sibling, and the new Royale Pass is easily the most significant one to be launched so far.

Patch 0.6.0 introduced the Free and Elite versions of a new Royale Pass in PUBG Mobile. If you’re familiar with Fortnite’s Battle Pass progress system, then this is very much PUBG’s take on a system that’s clearly worked out very well for Epic.

Essentially you can unlock Battle Points, cosmetic rewards and EXP boosters as you play the game and rank up your Free or Elite Royale Pass. The Free Royale Pass doesn’t offer much in the way of rewards and it’ll take quite a few ranks until you even bag something worth donning. In stark contrast, however, the Elite Royale Pass is filled to the brim with loot rewards.

The PUBG Mobile team are always hard at work updating the game with new content as well, so we’re covering all the latest seasonal developments down below.

So, without further ado we’ve put together everything you need to know about the latest seasonal updates, and the Free and Elite Royale Passes in PUBG Mobile so you can get to grips with how the whole progression system works.

What’s included with the Free Royale Pass?

To keep things nice and simple, every PUBG Mobile player will have a Free Royale Pass. Complete Daily or Challenge Missions and you’ll earn Royale Points which’ll go towards ranking up your Free Pass, which tops off at 45 tiers in total.

As you unlock certain tiers you’ll be rewarded with cosmetic items, although there are far fewer to unlock than in the Elite Pass which has rewards on every tier, as well as 25 extra ranks too.

How much does the Elite Royale Pass cost?

First things first, you’ve got a choice between two different Elite tiers:

  • Elite Upgrade: 600 UC
  • Elite Upgrade Plus: 1,800 UC

UC is PUBG Mobile’s in-game currency which you’re only able to attain by spending real-world currency.

To purchase your Royale Pass of choice, simply click the bottom-right icon and you’ll be prompted to spend UC to obtain it. If you don’t have any UC in your wallet, click “OK” and you’ll be able to purchase the right amount.

Here’s a breakdown of the UC tiers:

  • 60 – US $0.99
  • 180 (+10 extra) – US $2.99
  • 600 (+60 extra) – US $9.99
  • 1500 (+300 extra) – US $24.99
  • 3000 (+850 extra) – US $49.99
  • 6000 (+2,100 extra) – US $99.99

So, for the Elite Upgrade you’ll want need to fork out $9.99, and for the Plus version it’ll cost you $24.99.

What new features do the Elite Royale Passes unlock?

Grab one of these passes and you’ll unlock a seasonal progression system that’ll reward you with all sorts of items as you play the game. Here’s what you need to know:

Royale Points and Missions

When you play PUBG Mobile you’ll be in with a chance of earning Royale Points or RP. This is tied to completing Daily or Challenge Missions like “Get a Lv. 3 Helmet in 5 matches” or “Complete 10 matches with friends”.

All-new Missions will spring up weekly and you’ll more often than not start racking up RP over time, whether you intend to or not! It’s very much a consequence of playing the game naturally.

Below we’ll explain how RP ties into earning Royale Pass items.

Royale Pass Rewards List

Accruing Royale Points will level up your Royale Pass which has a maximum of 70 tiers. Unlocking a tier will reward you with a special cosmetic or EXP booster item. Below we’ve put together a list of all the rewards you can expect to earn.

  • Airplane finishes.
  • Rare clothes and outfits.
  • Emotes.
  • Weapon finishes.
  • Room cards.
  • Rare avatar frames.

It’s worth quickly noting that you can purchase any number of Royale Pass tiers with UC and you’ll unlock all the associated rewards in an instant.

Finally, when you’ve reached the top rank of 70 you’ll be able to earn some of the best cosmetics in the game. At this point you won’t be climbing tiers and unlocking items, so you’ll need to collect a varying amount of RP to bag your item of choice. It could take some time though as they range from 10 RP, all the way to a whopping 3,600 RP!
