Destiny 2 free trial begins today
Explore planets, battle it out in PVP and participate in campaign missions.
In the run up to Destiny 2’s first expansion, Bungie has released a free trial for the game beginning today. (Thanks Eurogamer).
Players can access the game as of today – 28th November 2017 – on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. In order to do so, you’ll have to download Destiny 2 via your console, or install Blizzard’s Battle.net client on PC.
As it’s a free trial, there are limitations in place of course. Still, there’s a fair amount of Guardian content to get stuck into.
You’ll be able to play a campaign mission on the EDZ and Titan, participate in Adventures, fight against other Guardians in the Crucible’s Quickplay PVP playlist and even explore the entirety of the European Dead Zone and Titan play areas too.
In terms of your Guardian’s progression you’ll only be able to reach Level 7, but if you purchase the game you’ll be able to carry on with the same character and enjoy the full game.
As with any free trial, this is clearly a push by Bungie and Activision to increase their player count before the first major expansion arrives in the form of the Curse of Osiris DLC. That’s out at the start of December.
