Team Russia crowned winners of the PUBG Nations Cup 2019
Team Russia emerged victorious at the inaugural PUBG Nations Cup held at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul, South Korea.
South Korea were clear favourites heading into the tournament and lived up to their billing, having led the points table for the first two days of competition. Team Russia were close behind them all the way, but simply couldn’t match the home side’s dominant performances.
However, day three was full of surprises. The once confident, seemingly indomitable South Korean side didn’t show up. Instead, they played like a team that had either become complacent, or felt the immense pressure of what they might achieve in front of their home crowd.

Team Russia capitalised on South Korea’s sudden lapse in performance, not only beating them in eliminations but also outlasting them when it really mattered.
The final point total placed Team Russia just four points ahead of South Korea, at 127 to 123. A major upset all things considered, and one which the South Korean side will likely mull over for a while.
Here are the final team standings:
- Team Russia – 127 pts
- Team South Korea – 123 pts
- Team Canada – 106 pts
- Team Vietnam – 103 pts
- Team Germany – 102 pts
