Get ready for a new drop of cosmetic items next week.
The much anticipated Overwatch anniversary event will begin next Tuesday 23rd May, according to an annoucement that’s just been made on the game’s official Twitter account. The special event will end at some point on Monday 12th June, which is around three weeks later.
Although no details have been revealed about the actual content arriving with the Anniversary patch, you can probably expect the usual assortment of skins, highlight intros and other cosmetic items that we’ve seen for previous special events.
As part of the announcement, the developers have also released a special anniversary trailer, showcasing the highlights of the game’s first year, from the frenzied launch of the game to the release of new maps and heroes. You can watch the entire video here:
