Halloween Terror returns to Overwatch on October 10th
New McCree and Reaper skins confirmed in teaser video for the event.
As predicted, Overwatch’s Halloween Terror event will return to the game next Tuesday 10th October. The announcement was accompanied by a video teaser for the revised version of the event, which made its debut during last year’s Halloween season.
In the oh-so brief clip below we get a look at new Legendary skins for Reaper and McCree, alhough based on previous recycled events it’s safe to say you can expect many more items to be added to the game when the patch goes live next Tuesday.

As well as these cosmetic items – which can be won from Loot Boxes or purchased outright for Credits – we’ll almost certainly see the return of the incredibly popular Junkenstein’s Revenge event from last year as well.
In this frantic player-versus-environment challenge, four players team up to deal with an endless onslaught of enemies, including bosses based on other Overwatch characters. Will there be changes to the team line-up this year? Perhaps, given that Lucioball’s return in the Summer Games festival featured a whole new arena alongside ruleset tweaks.
The return of the Summer Games event back in August saw Blizzard delivering on their commitment to revitalise and reuse existing special events, rather than add to the actual roster of events. This new approach sees old character skins and other cosmetic content from previous years return – at a reduced price – alongside brand-new hero items that cost considerably more.
Who else do you hope will get a new Legendary skin in the return of Halloween Terror? Let us know in the comments, and rest assured we’ll be bringing you all the latest information about the event as soon as it’s confirmed by Blizzard.
