Roger beats Bunnyhoppor to become HCT Winter Champion
Special Tiebreaker Tussle also delivers two more players to the World Championship.
Lou “Roger” Shengyuan has beaten Raphael “Bunnyhoppor” Peltzer to become the HCT Winter Champion.
The final tournament result was decided in a 3-0 match-up that saw Roger dominating over the HCT Summer Champion.
The first match saw both players fielding a Hunter mirror deck, but it was Roger who proved most adept at piloting it. Although Bunnyhopper continued with Hunter against Roger’s Quest Rogue in the second match, he still couldn’t overcome the ultimate champion.
Finally, in the third deciding match of the day, Bunnyhoppor opted for an aggressive Rogue deck which threatened to continue the day’s encounter, but couldn’t quite overcome the threat posed by Roger.

Interestingly, there was further action at the tournament in the form of a “Tiebreaker Tussle” between Mark “Ike” Eichner, Xu “LFYueying” Kai and Jiyong “Definition” Yoon.
This extra period of play came about as Bunnyhoppor and Brian “bloodyface” Eason had already secured their spots at the the upcoming Hearthstone World Championship.
That meant two extra spots were up for grabs. Both Kai and Eichner seized their opportunities to secure their spots at the ultimate showdown, scheduled to take place in April.
