How to find the entrance to the Excavation Site XII Lost Sector located in the EDZ region of Destiny 2, clear the encounter and take home your loot.
If you’re after Excavation Site XII in the EDZ, first thing you’ll have to do is head to The Gulch’s landing zone. Once you land, spin around and jump down to the road. It’s at this point you’ve got to prepare for a lengthy journey over to the Red Legion’s Firebase Hades. Just follow the road until you get there and don’t stop travelling onwards even if you’re passing it by on the right. What you’re looking out for is actually on a distinctive rubble path to your left with a couple of Psions waiting at the top. It’s through here that you’ll be able to reach this Lost Sector.

- Wind your way down the tunnel entrance and you’ll eventually encounter a couple of Legionary Phalanxes. Proceed to the bridge on the right and deal with the Cabal enemies you see in the way.
- Funnily enough, you’ve already reached the mini-boss Dusk-Choked Thrag who’ll be hanging around in the middle of this bridge. He’ll have some Cabal backup streaming in from behind, so stay behind cover and deal with these threats first.
- Once you’re confident that it’s only you and Thrag, it’s worth popping your Super and hitting him with everything you’ve got. Otherwise, jump over to the path past the bridge and use the rocks as cover, delivering pot-shots to the face until he goes down.
- The loot crate will be sitting at the back of the Lost Sector, so head over to it, crack it open and collect those juicy drops.
