If you’re aiming to improve your game in Fortnite: Battle Royale, often you’ll need to question everything you’re doing during a match. Instead of getting angry over a kill or blaming anyone but yourself, sometimes you’ve got to confront the problem head-on and figure out what you could’ve done better in a certain situation.
Fortnite’s Replay System allows you to watch previous matches back – with interest. You’ll be able to zoom in on specific details, slow down crucial moments and crucially, analyse what went wrong or right. On top of all this, you’ll be able to chop and edit clips for those sweet sweet highlight reels.
The Replay System is a great tool for both improving your game, as well as creating some amazing in-game clips and sending them to your mates. Trouble is, if you’re unfamiliar with the game as a whole it can be difficult to figure out how to access it.

How To Watch a Match Replay
Here’s how you watch a match replay in Fortnite.
- Login to the game.
- From the main menu, navigate to the “Career” tab.
- Select “Replay”.
- You’ll now see a long list of previous matches, along with some of their details.
- Simply click on the match you want to watch from the list and select “Play”.
- This will allow you to watch the match back and dive into the Replay System!

Replay System Overview
Fortnite’s Replay System is a really smooth and surprisingly intuitive experience, which makes it a really fun tool to use.
Here’s an overview of what the Replay System offers:
- Static and manually controlled drone cameras are available to use.
- You can zoom in and out.
- You can track individual player activity.
- Special effects such as slow motion.
- Camera settings include: Auto Exposure, Aperture, Focal Length, Auto Focus and Focus Distance.
