Where to find Rusted Parts in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Turns out making a giant robot is harder than expected.
We want geeksplatform to be the best site it can be. We’ve put together an annual reader survey. If you have a few minutes, we’d greatly appreciate you taking the time to respond!
Rusted Parts are a weirdly rare item required to build the Robot Hero. Here’s how to get your hands on them.
A lot of us purchased the Robot Hero DIY Recipe when we first unlocked the Town Hall. Some of us didn’t realise it was a recipe that takes a load of stuff to complete. Surprisingly, the Gold Nuggets aren’t the hardest part of the crafting process. Rusted Parts just don’t seem to turn up.
How to find Rusted Parts in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
You can occasionally find rusted parts in the recycling bin in the Town Hall. It’s worth checking it out every so often just in case someone’s chucked a few in there.
A more reliable way to get rusted parts is by screwing over poor Gulliver.
To get a guaranteed 5 rusted parts, don’t give Gulliver his communicator parts back after finding them. Instead, just keep them in your pocket – he’ll survive. These communicator parts will turn into rusted parts the following day, after which you can put them into your storage for later.
We’ve got a guide on finding Gulliver’s communicator parts if you’re struggling.
We’ve got more fish catching guides for you if you’re looking to fill out your Critterpedia:
