Bungie's taking the time to deploy hotfix 188.8.131.52.
Destiny 2’s servers are being taken offline on Tuesday, October 3rd 2017 for another bout of scheduled maintenance. Server downtime could last up to four hours.
Bungie has confirmed in a server status post that it’s taking down Destiny 2’s servers to deploy Patch 184.108.40.206, which features a host of hotfixes to iron out some of the sequel’s more problematic bugs.
Here’s when the servers will go offline in your region.
- 8:00AM PT
- 11:00AM ET
- 16:00 BST
Server maintenance is scheduled to end at 12:00PM PT, which is four hours after the start time in your own region.
It’s important to note that if you’re already online once maintenance begins, you’ll only have one hour until you’re forcibly removed from the server, so make sure you’re not doing anything important.
Despite Bungie stating that maintenance will take four hours to complete, it’s more of an estimate than a fixed time. Previous updates have finished two hours early, while others have dragged on for much, much longer.
