Rising Uppercut tips and tricks
- We like to think of Rising Uppercut’s primary role as a tool for mobility. It’s extremely short range restricts its usage, and on top of this, it simply doesn’t deal much damage.
- If you’re in the midst of an intense skirmish, Rising Uppercut is your way of taking a breather and reassessing the situation. It gives you a brief window in which to view the battle from above and make a decision as to whether you’re going to slam back in, or duck out and recover.
- Combine Rising Uppercut with your Hand Cannon, as it’s a simple way of outputting a steady trickle of damage while you’re gliding in the air above your enemies.
- Think of this combination as your number one escape or engagement tool: Rising Uppercut followed by Seismic Slam. Imagine Winston’s Jetpack leap, and this is essentially what you’re getting here.
- If you’ve got the reaction speed, Rising Uppercut can be used to dodge certain abilities in an instant. For example, if another Doomfist charges at you, time Rising Uppercut at just the right moment and he’ll fly straight through you.
- Want to deal big damage and look cool doing so? Use this combo on an enemy who’s right in your face: Rising Uppercut, Rocket Punch, Hand Cannon. It works by launching the enemy in the air, then smashing them with a punch before finishing them off with a few choice bullets to the skull. It’s worth honing this combo in the Practice Range first, so you can pull it off with ease in the heat of the moment!
