Fortnite: Invite Codes – How they work and how to get one (iOS & Android)
How the invite system works for the mobile version of the game.
How the Fortnite Invite Code system works on mobile, with all the confirmed details of how to get one.
Fortnite: Battle Royale has just made the – frankly rather impressive – leap to mobile phones over the last week or so. As a result, you can now play the world’s most popular game anywhere you can get a phone signal, and it’s the full fat version of the game to boot. There’s the same map, the same weapons, the same items and everything you’ve come to enjoy on the PC and console versions of the game.
Fortnite is currently only available to play on the iOS platform right now, although Epic is apparently working away on an Android version of the game. Hopefully over the next few months all devices will be supported, and we’ll have the ultimate cross-platform game to tuck into, whatever you call your gaming home.
How do Invite Codes work though, and how do you get one? In this article, we explain everything that’s currently known about the mobile invite system, and will update it as soon as Epic provides new ways of getting stuck into the action ahead of the full release.
How to play Fortnite on mobile devices
The process of getting a Fortnite Invite Code begins by registering your interest over on the official page for the mobile version of the game.
All you have to do to sign up is enter your email address on that page. If you’re invited to take part in the pre-release trial, you’ll receive an email from Epic which provides a download link to the App Store.
Note that this trial of Fortnite on mobiles is currently limited to certain iOS platforms only, and you should avoid installing anything that claims to be an Android version of the game. You’re likely to invite a virus onto your system that way.
How to get Invite Codes in Fortnite
In order to get your hands on an Invite Code, you’re first of all going to have to hook up with someone who has completed the above step and has been sent the handful of keys that we’ve been told each player will receive for taking part in the trial.
They are then able to share these codes with their friends and colleagues, although it’s not yet clear whether any Invite Codes have actually made it out in the wild yet. If you have received any yourself, please let us know in the comments so that we can update the article.
This is currently the only known way to obtain an Invite Code for Fortnite: Battle Royale, so please be extremely careful following any links from people you don’t personally know. Unless there’s an officially sanctioned giveaway by Epic, we strongly advise that you want until someone you know has codes to share.
