How do I access these skin challenges?

If you want to unlock these special skins, you’ll need to purchase the Season 4 Battle Pass first. It costs 950 V-Bucks, which equates to around £7.99 in real world currency. To get hold of one you’ll need to navigate over to the “Battle Pass” tab on the main menu screen.

Once you’ve done so, click “Purchase” and you’ll be redirected to another page where you’ll get a choice between the 950 V-Bucks Battle Pass or the 2,800 V-Bucks Battle Bundle. If you’re after the standard Battle Pass, select the former option. For added extras, select the latter.

Go through the whole payment process and you’ll be brought back to the main menu, this time with V-Bucks in your account. Select the Battle Pass tab again, click purchase and that’s your Battle Pass purchase complete!

It’s from here on out that you’ll be able to access all Weekly Challenges and Skin Challenges.

Carbide Challenges

The Carbide Challenge is something you’ll actually work towards naturally as you play the game. It’s split into five separate sections, with six rewards up for grabs that upgrade the base Carbide Outfit.

Here’s how it works.

• The Carbide Challenge is split into five separate unlock tiers.
• To unlock a certain reward tier, you’ll need to reach a specific Season Level.
• Season Levels are earned by playing the game, earning EXP and ranking up.
• You’ll need to reach Season Levels 10, 20, 30, 40 and 65 to unlock all 5 Carbide tiers respectively.

Rewards

Finally, here’s what working towards the Carbide Challenge will net you.

• As you unlock reward tiers, you’ll earn snazzy new armour pieces which you can equip immediately using the “Change Style” option while selecting the skin.
• Unlock three reward tiers and you’ll earn the shiny Carbide Pickaxe.
• Reach Season Level 65 and the whole Carbide skin set will be yours!

Omega Challenges

If you manage to reach the dizzying heights of Battle Pass Tier 100 (or buy yourself there with V-Bucks – we won’t judge…), then you’ll not only unlock the Omega skin but you’ll also unlock the Omega Challenges as well.

Again, this works in a similar fashion to the Carbide Challenges. You’ll need to reach certain Season Levels in order to unlock Omega skin upgrades and the Omega Pickaxe.

Here’s how it works.

• The Omega Challenge is split into five separate unlock tiers.
• To unlock a certain reward tier, you’ll need to reach a specific Season Level.
• Season Levels are earned by playing the game, earning EXP and ranking up.
• You’ll need to reach Season Levels 25, 35, 45, 65 and 80 to unlock all five Omega tiers respectively.

Rewards

Finally, here’s what working towards the Omega Challenge will net you.

• As you unlock reward tiers, you’ll earn fancy new armour upgrades which you can equip immediately using the “Change Style” option while selecting the skin.
• Unlock three reward tiers and you’ll earn the slick looking Omega Pickaxe.
• Reach Season Level 80 and the whole Omega skin set will be yours!

Blockbuster Challenges

Working towards this reward is a pretty time-consuming, and involves completing all Weekly Challenges for any seven weeks and collecting all seven secret Battle Stars.

Reward

What’s the reward? It’s a special skin called The Visitor and it reminds us of something out of Star Wars or even Destiny. The section below takes you through the exact unlock process, as well as an image of what it looks like too.

How do I unlock The Visitor skin?

So, to unlock The special Visitor Skin you’ll need to complete seven weeks worth of Weekly Challenges. Once you’ve completed one week’s worth, you’ll earn a special loading screen which contains a clue as to the whereabouts of a secret Battle Star. Find the Battle Star to get one step closer to your special prize.

It’s then a case of tracking down all seven of these hidden Battle Stars to complete the Blockbuster challenge and unlock the mysterious Legendary skin.

The video below by Hidden Masters will show you exactly where each hidden Battle Star is located. It’s worth mentioning that you’ll need to complete a set of Weekly Challenges in order for the Battle Star to appear on the map.

What do fully upgraded Carbide and Omega look like?

Throughout the season you’ll work towards upgrading your Carbide and Omega outfits, but what do they look like when fully upgraded? Well, Epic Games has tweeted out pictures of both skins kitted out in all their glory.
