How to complete every Week 5 Challenge in Fortnite.

Our Fortnite: Week 5 Challenges guide contains details of the new Season 3 Challenges, featuring Gas Station and Treasure Map locations.

A new week brings a new chunk of challenges to tick off in Fortnite, and Week 5 of Season 3 is no exception. The fresh set of objectives will go live in the game a little later on this morning, but thanks to some industrious data miners we actually have a heads-up on what to expect from this week’s task list.

In this article we’ve got a breakdown of all seven of the Week 5 Challenges, with some advice for completing each one, as well as a quick snapshot of the rewards you’ll achieve for beating them. It’s the usual mixture of relatively easy and worryingly tricky this week, and we’ll have deep-dive guides for completing some of the fiddlier ones for you later on today.

Without further ado though, here’s our complete guide to finishing Fortnite’s Week 5 Challenges.

That’s the complete list of Week 5 Challenges, now here’s a little bit of insight into how to actually complete each one and get your hands on those lovely rewards.

Use the Bush

In order to finish this task you’re going to have to make use of a Legendary item called The Bush. This allows you to blend effortlessly into the background, but if you’re shot even once you’ll lose the effect.

This being a Legendary item, it could well take you some time to finish this one up and our advice is to simply not fret about it. All you can do is keep looting chests as you play the game, and eventually you’ll get one. Remember to make use of it when you do!

Remember that Weekly Challenges roll over into new weeks within any given season, so it’s not like you have a seven-day deadline to get this one finished or you’ll lose the opportunity forever!

Search Chests in Moisty Mire

This one is pretty simple to wrap your head around. All you’ll need to do to finish this Week 5 Challenge is head to Moisty Mire and start rummaging through some chests.

If that sounds a little too easy, we reckon it might be a little tougher to actually get this one done in the first day or two of Week 5. Everyone is going to be heading to this area to work on the challenge after all, and so you should expect some furious firefights when you get there.

New players might want to skip this for a few days, while blood-hungry players may want to head there for some fast action right out of the gate.

Deal damage with a Pickaxe to opponents

Nothing too tricky about this one. Just grab yourself a trusty old Pickaxe and give someone a good old whallop with it to make progress towards the tally.

That’s quite a hefty number of hits to reach though, given that you are trying to survive after all. Maybe stick to using this for commencing an engagement, and then switch to something a little meatier for the rest of the encounter.

Visit different Gas Stations in a single match

This is going to be one of Week 5’s tougher Weekly Challenges in Fortnite, and will work much like the Forbidden Dancing and Ice Cream Truck challenge of weeks gone by.

Like the latter, all you’ll need to do to make progress here is get in the general vicinity of a Gas Station. You won’t get a UI notification though, so make sure you check your in-game Week 5 Challenge list to see if your current target has actually been registered.

Note also that you’ll need to visit three Gas Stations in a single match, and like previous challenges of its type you’ll need to actually finish the match in question to get your reward at the end of it.

Here’s a video that goes into a little more detail about the Gas Station locations, and we’ve also got a breakout Fortnite: Gas Station location guide if you want some tips on finding three within reasonably close proximity of each other.

Follow the treasure map found in Anarchy Acres

Again, another tricky Week 5 Challenge. You’ll be given a series of clues courtesy of a treasure map that’s located somewhere in Anarchy Acres. You’ll then have to use this information to triangulate the position on the map which actually contains your rewards.

As this is a slightly lengthier challenge, we’ve put together a break-out article that covers the whole process from finding the clues to bagging the goodies. Head over to our Anarchy Acres Treasure Map guide for the full lowdown on this one.

Pistol Eliminations

This is the weapons-based challenge for Week 5, and requires you to finish off three opponents using a Pistol.

We feel pretty confident that this is a killing-blow requirement, so if you want to use something you’re more comfortable with for the bulk of the fight, you should be able to switch out to the Pistol for the final kill.

You’ll of course need to loot a Pistol first, so this is one you might need to just keep at the back of your mind until circumstances are favourable to you.

Eliminate opponents in Tilted Towers

Yeesh, this one sound like fun. In order to complete the final Week 5 Fortnite Challenge, you’re going to have to head towards one of the most popular zones on the map and kill three players.

It is going to be absolute carnage in the first few days of Week 5, and so you might want to bench this one for a little bit later on. Not that it’s ever exactly quiet in Tilted Towers, but you might as well at least give yourself a fighting chance…

That concludes the first edition of our guide to all of Fortnite’s Week 5 Challenges! We’ll be back with a little extra fine detail in the coming hours, and once we’ve had a chance to get properly stuck into the action for ourselves!
