Good news for those of you who were starting to get a little bored of the Witchwood meta. The first details of 2018’s second Hearthstone expansion were released a little earlier on today, and the new set of cards will arrive under the name of The Boomsday Project.
The expansion is themed around the experimental lab antics of our old friend Dr. Boom and will introduce Legendary Spells, cards which reward both players with its benefits, and Omega cards which gain an extra potent effect when played with ten Mana Crystals in the bank.
Finally there’s a new Magnetic keyword. Play a Magnetic minion onto the board alongside a friendly Mech minion and the stats will be merged. Think of the Hunter’s Death Knight hero power from the Frozen Throne and you’ll get a good idea of what’s involved here.
This time around there are actually two pre-order bundles available for The Boomsday Project. We’ve just added in pricing since our last update, so you can work out which one makes the most financial sense for you.
