Hearthstone’s Grandmasters Week 3 came to an end last night, with Hunterace remaining undefeated

The latest round of top-level Hearthstone Esports has come to an end. As we approach the halfway point of the Round Robin stage of Hearthstone Grandmasters 2019, some intense games took place and the standings are beginning to take shape.
For those of you not up to speed with Hearthstone Grandmasters, we are currently in the midst of Season 2, which will run until October 14th, 2019. This season, a ‘Conquest’ format is being followed. Players can ban one enemy deck, as well as protect one of their own, and if a player wins a game with a deck, that deck is then banned for the rest of the match. The weekend’s results cemented the dominance of the top players in each bracket, with the likes of Hunterace and Jarla in Europe and justsaiyan in the Americas region both emerging victorious in their matches. Hunterace remains the only undefeated player, with his control and combo archetypes proving difficult for opponents to handle given his adaptability to the various decks he’s up against.
If you want to catch up on all the action, matches are viewable on Hearthstone’s Twitch channel. We especially enjoyed the final match of the week, bloodyface vs Zalae, as both players banned the Warrior class, meaning Dr. Boom, Mad Genius was not grinding out games in the least interesting way possible.
The next week of Grandmasters starts on Friday 13th September (spooky), opening with the Asia-Pacific region’s matches at 10am BST.
