Luminosity Gaming withdraws team – Hearthstone
A lack of major tournaments, prize money and travel support cited in statement.
Luminosity Gaming has released its competitive Hearthstone team, according to an announcement made a little earlier on today.
Despite winning a solid number of tournamenets over the last 12 months, LG states unhappiness with the game’s position as an esport as a reason for retiring the team.

Although the organisers see a great deal of potential for the game as a competitive title, it is not considered to provide an adequate return on investment. The lack of major tournaments and prize pools – as well as a lack of travel support – are also cited in the statement.
The statement concludes by thanking supporters of the team, and offering an assurance that the organisers will continue looking at opportunities for Hearthstone.
