Red Dead Redemption 2 – Cheat codes guide (PS4, Xbox One)
A growing list of all the cheat codes in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Our Red Dead Redemption 2 cheat codes page lists all the cheats for PS4 and Xbox One we’re currently aware of, and details how to unlock them too.
Given that this is a huge open world Rockstar game, it’s no surprise that you can tinker with cheats to elevate Arthur Morgan to spectacular, often hilarious, new heights. However, it’s actually discovering the cheat system which presents a little difficulty in the first place, considering it’s hardly shoved in your face at any point.
Cheat codes in Red Dead Redemption 2 are accessed through the settings menu and don’t feature the traditional button combinations of old. Instead, you input different phrases to activate certain cheats.
It’s from this menu that you can toggle cheats on and off, rather than input them every single time if you want to use them. A very nice touch indeed. Once thing of note though – you can’t save your single player progress if you have a cheat active. They’re primarily for messing about, so you can’t supercharge your progress through the game as God of the Wild West.
Cheats are unlocked through newspapers which can be bought from Valentine, Strawberry and Rhodes. Simply buy them, read them and the corresponding cheat will become available. Not all newspapers are unlocked from the get go, so you’ll need to progress through the story to secure them all.
So without further ado, we’ve put together a table which showcases all the different cheat phrases, what they do and the requirements for unlocking them in the first place.
