Announcement follows a disappointing Spring Split.
After a disappointing Spring Split in the LEC, Rogue has parted ways with its jungler in an effort to rework the roster before the Summer Split.
News of Mateusz “Kikis” Szkudlarek’s departure was announced over on Rogue’s official blog post, and it’s clear that both parties thought it was the right decision.

”After a disappointing split, the team took a step back and analyzed the situation. During the discussions, it was clear that changes were needed and Kikis was one of the players who shared the same opinion.”
“We want to thank Kikis for all the dedication and hard work he put into the team,” general manager Tomislav Mihailov said in a statement. “We wish him the best in the future as he pursues other opportunities.”
This news won’t come as a surprise to many. Rogue were clearly the weakest team in the Spring Split, placing last with a less than ideal 2-19 record. Given the calibre of some of the players, especially the likes of LCS veteran Kikis, Rogue were incredibly underwhelming game after game, week after week.
Moving forwards, Rogue will be looking for a new jungler and perhaps there more roster changes are on the cards too. While it’s positive that the team are making changes, it’s important to remember that team synergy takes time to build.
Even if Rogue arrives with a brand new lineup in the Summer Split, it could take a very long time for steady, positive results to emerge.
