Looking for quick games that are over swiftly? This might just be the deck for you. It’s pretty one-note – your main plan is to play on curve and kill your opponent as quickly as possible. After that, you’ll just get beaten down since you have no semblance of late-game value.
Draven and all your other hyper-aggro cards will do extremely well, and can snowball ridiculously early if your opponent can’t do anything about it.
Here’s the best Burn Aggro deck at the moment, and you’ll find some tips and tricks below it.

General Strategy
It’s not the hardest deck to pilot, but you’ll have to make decisions and prioritise certain plays. We’ll walk you through the best way to play this aggro menace.
Early Game: You’ve got a huge pile of early units to play. Legion Rearguard, Precious Pet, Legion Saboteur and so on. They’re all here to start you off strong and on-curve.
Precious Pet and Legion Saboteur offer guaranteed damage if you’re attacking on turn 1, with Precious Pet’s Fearsome keyword and Legion Saboteur’s free Nexus damage. Basically, you want to be attacking as much as possible, and playing Boomcrew Rookie and Legion Grenadier should be early priorities too. A wide board is harder for your opponent to block, and you’ve got a solid number of effects that guarantee Nexus damage.
Mid Game: Just flood the board as much as you can. Now you’ve got more mana to play with, you’ll be able to play out all your cheap minions out onto the board. You don’t really have the luxury of playing around enemy board clears either. Playing Burn Aggro is like playing in a rush – you have to kill your opponent ASAP or they’ll just kill you.
If you must block incoming damage, Used Cask Salesman gives you 0/1 Caustic Casks with Ephemeral, which also deal damage to each Nexus. These can block enemy attacks too.
Of course, Draven is a focal point of this deck, but he’s not the most vital thing in the world. Those sweet sweet Spinning Blades are pretty nuts once you’ve upgraded Draven, despite the compulsory discard.
Late Game: Uh oh, what’s going on here? This game is going on too long. Hit their Nexus until they’re dead, please. In all seriousness, just do that. Basically, just hit them with everything you have – Mystic Shot, Get Excited!, Decimate, just send it all at their Nexus.

Burn Aggro Mulligan guide
These are the cards you’ll want to hold on to at the start of a match to stay on curve:
- 1. Any 1-mana unit is extremely important to this deck. Legion Rearguard is great early damage if they can’t block it, and Precious Pet works fantastically thanks to Fearsome.
- 2. We absolutely love Boomcrew Rookie early on. Every attack they do deals 2 guaranteed damage to the enemy Nexus, and the unit’s 4 health makes it tough to kill.
- 3. If you have the makings of a big board, Arena Battlecaster can be kept, and translates into a big wedge of damage if you get a lot of buffs on deck.
- 4. It’s often powerful to play Draven as early as you can, as he offers great support and direct damage on turn 3.
Burn Aggro tips, combos and synergies
Below we’ve put together a handful of tips to help you pilot this deck effectively. As the meta develops, we’ll keep things updated, so stay tuned for all the latest!
– Brothers’ Bond is a Burst spell, potentially offering an extra 4 damage on the enemy Nexus on unblocked units. Cast it after they’ve committed blockers.
– Crimson Disciple discourages opponents from attacking with small units, as whenever the Disciple survives damage, he deals 2 to the enemy Nexus. This really starts to add up fast.
– Ideally, Mystic Shot and Get Excited! can be used on the opponent’s Nexus, but sometimes you’ll have to get enemies out of the way to make space for your units – their survival is huge for sustained damage.
– The more units you get, the bigger your bonus from Arena Battlecaster is. House Spider summons two minions, so the extra attack is doubled – but remember it only takes effect when you’re attacking, not blocking.
– You can’t cast Get Excited! without another card in hand to discard, meaning if you draw it as the only card in hand, you won’t be able to play it.
– Noxian Fervor can target friendly Caustic Casks to end up dealing an extra bit of damage to the enemy Nexus.
– Keep count for lethal at all times – Transfusion can give you enough damage to kill the enemy, and since it’s a Burst spell the enemy will not be able to Deny it or anything else.
